A couple of months ago I stopped my friend Matt on the streets of OTR. Matt is a Midwest native of Cincinnati, in his early thirties, works in real estate and has a lovely wife and 17-month old son.

While chatting, I started asking him about his newest family edition and what it had been like being a new dad for the past year. As he shared about his experiences, I had an idea resurface “I want you to come on my podcast buddy!” I told him.

He took a few weeks to get back to me, but he agreed.

Boy am I glad he did. This is was probably one of the most down to earth “real” podcasts we have done to date. Normal everyday people in the fight working to stay healthy no matter what life throws at them.

I had A LOT to ask him about because I love when people who care about their health go through life transitions—there is so much we can learn!

This is what it’s all about when it comes down to it in my opinion!

In just over 18 minutes, you’ll hear how Matt handled the transition to new dad while maintaining a focus on taking care of his health and well being. Plus, I wanted to really highlight how the process a newborn goes through to sit up, crawl, walk, and eventually run is VERY similar to our own health journeys! There is no shortage of insights for ALL OF US no matter our life stage for learning from life’s big shifts and how much babies can teach us about ourselves!
